  1. I have had one for 4 days now and the step counter is insanely inaccurate. If I walk 100 steps it usually counts 100 steps. However, it counts steps when im not walking. It counts about 150 when I'm asleep. I work at home sat at a desk. After 5 hours it counts over 3000 steps when all I have done is go the kitchen a couple of times to make coffee! I gestimate it is incorrect by a factor of 10. So, even if the step counter is accurate when I'm walking, at the end of the day the final count will be worthless. Unless there is a solution I will have to return it. I contacted Fitbit support but they could not explain why is is so inaccurate.

  2. I just got a charge 6. I am allready disliking the app. I just do not know how to use it. Its a confused but elegantly presented dumpster fire of an app.

  3. Am I the only one who noticed him wearing his gold ring with Cable protector on it, to make it tight I guess?

  4. The fitbit premium paywall sort of makes it not worth it imo. Could just go with a bit more expensive tracker by someone else without subscriptions.

  5. I agree with most of this but I had to ditch the fitbit charge as I frequently go in the ocean and this is the quickest way to destroy this device. I went through 3 in a row until I clicked what was happening.

  6. I got the Charge 5 when it came out and have loved it. I don’t track workouts; mainly use it to track steps, sleep, notifications and as a watch during my consults at work. I get about 10-12 days of battery life not using workout tracking and other features. And that is the biggest deterrent for me getting a proper smartwatch

  7. Do not buy Fitbit this shit is crap! Tired of resetting, restarting and trying to get this fucking watch to sync

  8. You can’t swim with it. 50M rating is not 50 meters of deep water it’s a pressure rating. At most u can shower with it.

  9. The Fitbit firmware update turned my charge 5 into a paperweight.

Thousands of other users reported the same problem.

Fitbit has denied any and all responsibility — still happening a year later.

Even though the watches broke due to something on the manufacturers end — they offered to only replace watches that were still in warranty period, and offered everyone else a 30{63ea5be50f54569954d442015639ec5a17aa3072669d5c9419118ee976a460f8} discount on a new watch.

They didn’t renew warranty for the replacement watches either.

So for users who did get replacements — they were still under original warranty.

Many users experienced similar problems with the replacement watches and tried to get help from customer service. They were told their warranty was out even if they only had the replacement for 3 months… because they were going off the original warranty on the broken watches.

They basically denied responsibility for the incident — then stalled until customers warranty ran out and refused to replace them — only offering a 30{63ea5be50f54569954d442015639ec5a17aa3072669d5c9419118ee976a460f8} discount.

I’ve been a customer of Fitbit for over 7 years and I will never buy another Fitbit again after what they did.

Awful customer service. The company breaks their own devices, denies all responsibility, and then tells customers to fork over more money.

Ever since Google purchased the company it’s just gone down hill. So many people are reporting these issues online and Fitbit keeps deleting many posts on the community forum.

It’s just ridiculous. Someone should start a class action lawsuit with how many people have experienced these problems. It’s in the thousands by now…

  10. I just upgraded to the Charge 6, i've been using the Charge 3 since it came out and the only issue I faced was the wear and tear of the band. I also don't understand the premium charge as others have mentioned. I could see paying a small cost if fitbit let me sync with my peloton app so I could track all those classes. I didnt have to pay for sleep and mindful classes with my charge 3?????

  11. I didn't find an auto brightness feature on charge 6. Is that a bug? Because the official website states that it has an ambient light sensor.
